Today I’m sharing what I received in my April Ipsy Bag! This is the third bag I’ve received, and I am still loving the subscription. I still tell everyone to sign up if they love receiving new beauty products to their doorstep.
This is the bag for the month. The theme is “side show,” so Ipsy’s promotions have been very carnival like.
At first I was unsure of this bag but the more I have it, the more I like it. It’s super bright. I think what I may do is actually store my ticket stubs in it. I’m the kind of person that likes to keep tickets from events, games and concerts so I think this would be the perfect place to store them!
Now, let’s get to the products!
This eyeshadow is a teeny sample, but I actually really like it. It is a simple rose-copper shade. As far as staying power, it does pretty well. It’s not a super stay shadow but I can still see the color on my lids even after a long day. I never heard of this brand before but the packaging is super cute. It’s very convenient if I want to throw it in my bag and go.
You can see the color of this polish in the first photo of me holding my Ipsy bag. I have never been a big nude polish person but, to my surprise, I really like this color. They describe it as a peachy nude. I agree. It’s nude but does have a touch of pink so it doesn’t just blend in with my skin tone. Another thing about this polish is it’s free of a lot of “toxic” ingredients that regular nail polishes have. It also is vegan and not tested on animals. This is a full size polish too which retails for $14.99. That makes me happy because essentially the bag pays for itself!
I’ve always heard great things about the brand Ciaté but I’ve never tried it. I got a bronzer in my bag this month, and I like it. I also like it’s actually is a good size sample. Last month I got a bronzer that was tiny so I’m much happier with this one. It is a good size and works well too. Summer is fast approaching so I look forward to using this to give my face a nice bronzing!
I never used hair serums a lot. I probably should because I have a lot of hair. I tried this out before styling my hair the other day and I was amazed. I dispersed it on my ends and throughout my hair and it added so much shine and softness! The smell is also amazing. When I used it on dry hair, it smoothed out my flyaway hair and added a nice shine too. I think I need to do some research on hair serums now.
Talk about a throwback! The company Glamour Dolls is partnering with Lisa Frank to bring her artwork to the makeup world. Honestly, why hasn’t this been done sooner? I had a coloring book and lunch box that were Lisa Frank when I was younger so this just brought me back to those times. The Lisa Frank line actually hasn’t launched yet so this was an Ipsy exclusive! The actual brush is great, too. It is super soft and has a great angle. I like to use it when applying blush. I love getting new makeup brushes so this was such a fun product to receive.
That’s all that was in my Ipsy bag this month! Thanks for reading. Let me know if you want to see any certain posts from me. School is winding down and summer is fast approaching. I am in the works of some fun summer posts so stay tuned!
