October Ipsy Bag 2017

beautyHappy November 1!

I know I say this in just about every post but 2017 is FLYING by.

Quick Life Update:

I turned 21 last week. Classes are going well but I’ve been swamped with tests and projects essentially all of October. I am SO excited for the Holidays. I’ve been thinking of some fun Holiday posts to do and hope I can make those happen!

Today I am sharing what I got in my October Ipsy bag! This theme was “Spellbound”. The design of the bag is a dark red lace and has a cute bat for the zipper.

I got my usual mix of an eyeliner, face mask, nail polish and mascara. I say this because I see a small trend between bags. When I rate this bag on Ipsy.com I think I am going to give low ratings for if I like to receive eye products because I seem to always end up with one in my bag. We will see how it works out. I’m not complaining, but there are only so many mini mascaras a girl can have in her purse, ya know?

Here are the products:

FullSizeRender 6

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion

This eyeliner is so smooth. When I first used it, it just slid right across my eyelid. I was in shock as to how smooth the pencil was. I’ve heard great things about this eyeliner. So I was excited to try it out. It sets and stays in place too.

TARTE deluxe lifted sweatproof mascara

My heart is with the mascara I received in my last Ipsy bag.  I loved that mascara so much that I bought two of them when they were half priced on Tarte’s birthday sale. To be honest, I haven’t been able to test this one out fully. I also got a brown shade and I usually wear black mascaras.

MARC ANTHONY Hydrating Coconut Oil & Shea Butter Oil Treatment

I got my hair cut a few weeks ago, and my stylist used a hair oil on me before and after the cut. I wanted to try some hair oils out after that. So I was happy to get this one! It smells so good (it is coconut-y). This oil adds shine and hydration to my hair. It keeps the frizzies to a minimum.

Dermelect Cosmeceuticals Dermelect ‘Me’ in What-A-Gem or Verdure

This nailpolish is branded as peptide-infused. Per my Googling, I found that peptides help keep nails healthy looking. This polish is a shiny pinky-nude. It is a good “no nail polish” look. I like it. I don’t have many simple colors like this.

BioRepublic SkinCare Sheet Mask Duo

I’ve gotten a few of these sheet masks from BioRepublic, and I love them. I am always happy receiving these. I used the “Pomegranate Crush” mask quickly after I got my bag. Sheet masks are so easy to use, and I love the hydration they give my skin.

Overall, I like my bag. Again, I feel like I get the same mix of products, but I am usually happy with all of them. Soon enough, I am going to have to decide if I want to renew my subscription! Stay tuned for that decision.

Hope you enjoyed this post!
