How is it the middle of June already? Summer is flying by but it means I got another Ipsy bag to review!
This month’s theme is “Volume Up”. The bag has a rocker-chic vibe with the big lips on the front contrasted with the black and cream bag. The bag challenges users this month to “fearlessly express yourself” and to get amped up. What a fun motto for summer.
Let’s get to the products.
NYX Professional Makeup Whipped Lip & Cheek Soufflé in Cocoa Bean
I love NYX products. They have great products for a great price. I’ve never tried this whipped product but love that it can be used for lips and cheeks. The shade is a deep mauve. I haven’t tested this out on my lips yet but it worked well for the cheeks. It’s creamy but also blends well. I am a big fan of NYX matte lip creams so I think I will like this as well. The best part about this soufflé is that it smells like cupcakes!
BioRepublic SkinCare Aloe Rescue Revitalizing Fiber Mask & Green Tea Detox Purifying Fiber Mask
Sheet masks! I love sheet masks. I’m always excited to try more out because my skin can always use the moisturization. I am excited for these masks because one is a detox for the skin and one has aloe in it. I am definitely saving the aloe one for a day after being in the sun (it even recommends using it after the sun!) Excited to give these a try.
theBalm Cosmetics Balm Springs Blush
This is another small blush from theBalm. Previously I said I wasn’t too excited with how small their samples are but now I like the size. It is perfect to throw in an overnight bag when I don’t want to bring a huge blush compact. I love the rosy shade too. It applied well and blended nicely for a flush of color.
Skone Cosmetics Insanely Intense Tattooed Waterproof Eyeliner
That’s a name isn’t it? This eyeliner lived up to its name too. It is a very intense black and went on so smoothly. I’m putting it to the test too to see how waterproof/budgeproof is it! So far, it’s passing. Also, I love the packaging too with the copper detailing and lid.
Luna By Luna Cosmetics Eyeshadow in Jace
Holy pigmentation in this little eyeshadow. A few taps of my eyeshadow brush and it is full of color. This soft rose shade is a bold summer look but also can be used as a base for an eye look. It has the cutest packaging too. I’m excited to play around with these colors for summer.
Here are the swatches from the products…
From left to right is the blush, eyeshadow, lip and cheek soufflé and then the eyeliner. I do like the rose tones in this bag. In my opinion rose is a fresh color for summer.
I’m excited to use these products this month. I’m pleased with this bag. I hope you’ve liked these reviews too. If you are still on the fence about getting one of these bags I say go for it. All have been worth my $10.
That’s all for this post!
