The Splash VoxBox

funHappy first day of summer! This post couldn’t be more fitting to celebrate summertime. My twin sister, Kathryn, received this Splash VoxBox from Influenster filled with summer goodies. She’s in the midst of nursing school, so we decided to have a stress-free girls’ night and try out these products together. After my short review you’ll see “Kat’s take” and see what she has to say! I’m sorry if we have similar reviews; we are identical twins, you know.

Here’s the box:

The reviews:

Tree Hut’s Exfoliating Mud Mask

IMG_7387

Obviously a girls’ night isn’t complete without a face mask! Kathryn and I tested this out (seen above). It was very cooling after application. Another cool thing about this mask is that it has exfoliating beads. When you take the mask off, your skin is hydrated and exfoliated.
Kat’s take: Who doesn’t love a good charcoal mask? Not only is this mask charcoal but it has tiny beads in it that exfoliate your skin when you take it off leaving your skin nice and soft!

Nature’s Origin Roll on
The essential oil we got was a peppermint essential oil. I’ve only used a eucalyptus oil, so I’m excited to try the peppermint one, since it’s said to have a cooling and calming effect. I’m not big on using essential oils but I am willing to give this one a try. We did test it out while doing our masks and it was refreshing.
Kat’s take:
I have heard a bunch of things about essential oils and will be excited to try this out. I’ve read that peppermint oil can help headaches so, um, I can’t wait to get a headache?

Mike and Ike Sour-Licious Zours
Who doesn’t love candy? I really like sour candies, and these are fruit flavored, too. I didn’t think these were too sour, but they were super yummy during our girls’ night. We had popcorn and ate these candies while watching America’s Got Talent with our face masks on. 🙂
Kat’s take: These were yummy! Some tasted artificial but over all they were tasty. They were not very sour to me but I’m sure to some people they are extreme!

Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink
First off, the packaging is gorgeous. Maybelline stepped it’s game up with their packaging. Second, this matte ink stays put. I put it on during girls’ night to test it out, and it survived popcorn and candy. I even had it on during the face mask (see photo above), and it stayed even while I took off the mask. So far, I’m impressed with this product. I love the shade, called Lover, too. It smells like vanilla which I love.
Kat’s take: I swatched this on my hand to test it out, and I loved the color. After, I unloaded and loaded the dishes and tried to scrub it off my hand and it was not budging. It has very impressing staying power!

Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Tapioca Dry Shampoo
Dry Shampoo is a lifesaver. The original Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Dry Shampoo is actually the one I use regularly, so I was excited to see a new scent. This scent is “Warm Sugar” and it smells like cake in your hair. It was delicious. I’m so excited to use this more.
Kat’s take:
I love dry shampoo. I’ve used Not Your Mothers before but this new scent is to die for. Smells like cake in your hair!

SinfulColors #Pride Collection featuring Era Istefi Nailpolish
I love SinfulColors nail polishes; they are inexpensive and have so many colors. This was cool to receive a polish from the #Pride collection. The polish is a super sparkly purple. I haven’t used it yet, but I can’t wait to paint my nails!
Kat’s Take: I’m always thrilled to have a new nail polish; you can’t go wrong with a shimmering purple!

That’s all that was in Kathryn’s Splash VoxBox! A big thank you to her for sharing her goodies and helping me review the products. We had a fun girls’ night testing out the products.
