Products I’ve used up & Review

beauty

Hello again!

Sorry to be MIA last week; last week I finished exams and helped close the residence hall I live in during the semester. This week—yesterday actually—I finally moved back home. I am up to my eyeballs with things to unpack, put away and give away.

For the last few months I’ve been collecting products that I’ve used up. In this post you’ll read a mini review on what I’ve used. This isn’t the most exciting post, but I promise this summer we will have some fun posts coming up.

So here are my products I’ve used up!

Beauty

Soo AE Purifying Black Charcoal Mask
If you’ve been following the blog since February, you know I received this mask in my February Ipsy bag. I used it shortly after my purchase and it was amazing. The mask was pure black so I looked funny wearing it but it was very moisturizing. I woke up the next morning still feeling the moisture on my skin. I really liked this mask. The best part about SOO AE masks is they are under $3 so it’s very affordable.

Formula X Delete All Nail Polish Remover
This nail polish remover works great. It lasted for a long time too! This remover is one that has five slots in a sponge you insert your nails into. You just move your fingers around and your nail polish comes right off. The slogan is that it, “gives nails a clean slate in seconds,” and I couldn’t agree more. Formula X is being discontinued at Sephora so I’m not sure if you can still purchase this remover anymore but maybe we can find a dupe!

Bed Head Rockaholic TIGI Dirty Secret Dry Shampoo
I got this dry shampoo from ULTA last October when they have their products benefiting Breast Cancer Awareness month. Ladies we all know the struggle of having oily hair and dry shampoo is the answer to our prayers! I especially loved this one because it has a great smell. It didn’t smell too powdery. It smelt fresh. Also part of this purchase went towards Breast Cancer awareness so that’s a win win.

Smashbox Always Sharp Waterproof Kohl Liner
I also bought this from Ulta during one of their 21 Days of Beauty Sales. This typically $21 liner was on sale for $10. This liner automatically sharpens itself every time you put the top on. At first I thought it was just going to be a gimmick but it actually worked. Each time I opened the liner it was sharp. I then was worried that every time it sharpened it was wasting product but this liner stayed smooth and didn’t dry out for a few months. Again, I loved the sharpening feature of this liner.

Garnier BB Cream
BB creams were all the rage a few years ago and now we have BB Creams, CC Creams, ZZ Creams (lol) and more. I’ve repurchased this product multiple times too. I will wear this cream in place of my foundation when I want a light coverage. Many times I wear this to class as it hydrates and products my skin (yes, it has sunscreen in it!). This BB Cream is great for summer as it is light weight but gives you just enough coverage. The only disadvantage to this cream is that sometimes it oxidizes. Just blend evenly and apply a powder over the top and you will be good to go.

Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Foundation
This foundation is advertised as a “skin transforming” foundation. To be honest, I didn’t notice a transformation but it did provide nice coverage. I will not be repurchasing the foundation but it was good while it lasted. Another down side to this product is that it has a pump lid. Pumps usually are fun but I found that when I got to the end of the bottle I still had product left! I hate wasting product so I am not fond of the pump.

Original Clean Makeup Wipes by Equate Beauty
These wipes are so cheap from Walmart! They sell them in bulk too so I usually buy the big pack and spilt them with my sister. These wipes are compared to the Ponds Makeup Towelettes. I usually use one of these every night to take my makeup off. These are simple wipes but they get the job done. I also have repurchased these multiple times.

Cotton Swabs
How boring, right? But this was one of the products I’ve used up. This pack had 350 swabs in it and I got it from Dollar Tree so of course they were only a $1! I use cotton swabs on a daily basis for facial needs, makeup, ears, etc.

Those are all the products I’ve used up! I hope you enjoyed this simple post. Do you have any blog posts you would be interested in reading? Let me know.

See you next week!
